@Mimo SlavichI was going to say his Nothing phone doesn’t appeal to me at all, but seeing him be so open and make comparisons to Apple and admit 99% would take an iPhone is cool to see. It’s reality. It makes me more interested in his own phone.

For those of you who don’t remember. Cell phones use to have led notifications. For years, I thought it would be a great idea to have leds to do more on cell phones. I prefer them on the front or on the top and bottom corners of the front. I'm not sure how often I am looking at the rear of my phone.

I think the reason it’s stationed on the back is because it’s meant to keep your eyes off the actual screen as much as possible. An experience where you leave it sitting near you and only have to glance at it to see if something you actually care about has happened. I think it’s an interesting approach
2 ай бұрынNiklas Dietl +4
so I think its fantastic, that the LED Light is on the backside, because since I have a smartphone I lay it with the front side on the table, to not scratch the camera glass. So now with my nothing phone I know when I get a message without turning it.

This new Nothing phone has actually been looking enticing. I detest the idea of spending $1200 on a phone thats going to be $900 in less than a year, so its a good price point in my opinion. The upgrades to performance don't sound bad for that price, either. Plus it looks cool 😂

My honest opinion about the Nothing phone is that the design of body is rugged and elegant at the same time. The lighting strips make it totally unconventional but very intriguing. My only question is about the unnamed apps, yeah the app icons without names is puzzling. Overall it is a phone I can see myself owning.

Honestly didn't know whether to buy the Nothing 2 or not but this interview really sold it for me. Seems like the CEO really cares about the product and is trying to achieve his vision of the phone and not just copy others. This is exactly how I want a Samsung should be like. Not the design but the user experience, Samsung feels like it’s trying so hard to do more instead of trying to do what is necessary. I’ve been stuck to Iphones since 5s, have tried switching to android in-between but I still go back to Iphones cause of how easy it feels to use. Hence what Carl Pei is saying. I think this phone will finally make me switch to android. Not this iteration yet but probably the 3rd or 4th gen. I feel like this company is doing what Samsung should be doing and feels very excited to their future.

Regarding phone charging fast charging is handy but slow charging is better for battery. Im quite surprised that nobody came across idea to make phone that uses fast charging only during daytime in case youre in a rush but if you put it to charge lets say after 10pm it charges slowly and offers you fast charging pop-up as an option. Something like when you connect your phone via USB to PC and asks you do you want to transfer data or just charge it. There would also be great to have that option other way around for example for night shift workers that usually sleep during daytime or to have it fully customisable. Most of us anyways charge phones overnight when fast charging isnt needed anyways. Well maybe there is phone with that option but I never heard about it so far. I think that would be brilliant thing and great for batteries long term. Should I patent my idea? 😁.

I am not even half way through the video, and honestly, I would buy this phone. I have found myself losing more and more interest in my phone, and by going so, I am finding it more and more irritating to not have a direct differential between messages and emails/facebook/bs that I am not interested in. So honestly, the light on the back, MAJOR perk. I think that this is amazing and I am almost as enthralled with this, as I was the module phone (I don't remember the name, but I do remember that everything about it was modular)

I was a Sony Xperia person, wanted the first Vivo or 1Plus but it was hard to get those phones. I don't know what happened but found myself buying a Redmi Note 4 way back. I was intrigued by the tech there and haven't looked at other phones with a deep passion to own them ever since. Now i know Xiaomi/Redmi packs a punch because most phones don't have the tech found in these budget phones. IR Blaster for instance. I guess 1 Plus has it. I want my phone to control everything in the house, Xiaomi does just that. I don't want a box for receiving text messages and taking photos/videos only. Those who use Xiaomi thoroughly know what I'm talking about. My ultimate phone to buy is Redmi Note 12 Pro or Xiaomi 13 Pro. 🔆❤️ Oh! Moto Edge 40 got my head thinking. What a phone! It'd be nice to get the one with a Stylus since Xiaomi doesn't have that. Hello Moto! ❤ I'm still trying to figure out why i'd buy the iPhone, for what really!? Oh! For my daughter with their Instagram things. Is it really worth it! What is it that other phones can't do but only iPhone does!? Somebody enlighten me. I just saw the Samsung A54 at the neck of the iPhone 14 Pro Max and was amazed that a mid ranger is so at par with the 2nd Best Phone in the world after the S23 Ultra. I'd like to hear your views and opinions on this upside.

Eventhough it is a recorded and edited video, I could sense a lot of tension in the atmosphere. It is actually a good thing as both of them are trying to do things that majority of people are afraid of. Being true and honest in this era is very hard. Hat's off to Arun and Carl for their efforts.

I think if you watch Nothing's channel or videos, you would come to understand this is more of Carl Pei's way of speaking and presence. He is just very straightforward, not too jokey, very fact-oriented and well-spoken. I don't think there is alot of tension, it seems from "sleep" in Carl's eyes that he's had a LONG run of press for this phone, and I can tell judging from my inbox. :)

@Its BM well, he had to partake on multiple vlogs. He really is trying to push Nothing. And people are actually listening which is great for nothing.

I really love his ideas. I have two concerns! What about a case/protection? What is their position on privacy?

All of them are really nice picks. But the potential of project that elegantly combine blockchain and AI is Amazons GPT66X and should not be overlooked, I guess. Among them, this truly tackle real-world problems and have vibrant ecosystems, like Aiwork.

This is how you made a dream. You work for it, everything by yourself. To those who dont know, there is many reviewer earlier than Arun already made review with this CEO. Its not about Arun alone more effort from tye CEO.

Carl Pei is like that one dude who makes any kind of tech really special but in a chillish vibe, because on how he's been able to meticulously see the details even in microns on products, and that Phone (2) really shows that you don't wanted to change the design, and become really easy to see a familiar face with just your own two eyes

I love how at the end he was genuinely confused great vid and also you should make a ceo interviews playlist where you interview CEO's of diferent tech companies I'd really love that.

People say how impressive it is Arun is actually having a sit down with Carl and have a chat. What I'm impressed is that this looks like it's Arun's home and his usual recording setup. Surely, Carl didn't come around his place.

I so much wanted the 1Plus then before the Xiaomi brand picked up their marketing power. You could only buy 1Plus by being referred by a person who bought the product and not allowed to order on your own level. There had to be a documented customer who bought the 1Plus phone. Vivo was not exporting to South Africa too. Their first phone was so beautiful and packed with tech. Xiaomi packs that tech from Vivo. That's why i like Xiaomi, great copy cats.😂😂

I love how Arun is straight up with the review even though the creator of the product is right next to him. It takes balls to deliver that quality and stay true to us viewers.

I wouldn't mind daily driving it. Looks clean. Gotta give props to the CEO for openly talking about his product, best PR a company could do as far as I'm concerned.

12:29 Arun probably got worried about his "If we overtake apple in subs, we will build our own phone" statement and reconsidering his existence after hearing that😂

It looks awesome. I own a OnePlus 6T and it's time for me to say goodbye to it. Nothing phone 2 seems like a good candidate for that. I'm not a huge fan of big phones. I think that my OnePlus 6T is already too big, but a 6.7" display is gigantic in my opinion. For me, the sweetsop is somewhere around 6". Also, what I really love on OnePlus is the mute switch. I know that iPhone has that too, but I really like the form factor from OnePlus, it's way easier to use and more intuitive and I use it a lot. It would be awesome to see this switch on nothing phone 3 as well since it would be really helpful. Imagine the situation in which you are in a theater/cinema or another dark room and you want to immediately switch your phone to mute or vibration and you also want the flashing lights to stop because it's disturbing in a dark environment. This would be pretty cool. Anyways, it looks like a great phone and I'll consider it. Keep up the good work!
